Coronavirus | HK logs 2227 new virus cases
Hong Kong on Saturday (July 2) reported 2,227 new COVID-19 infections, including 2,165 locally-transmitted cases and 143 imported ones. The local cases included 714 PCR test-confirmed cases and 1,730 self-declared positive cases.
This is the fourth day on which the city's daily COVID toll surpasses 2,000.
Three more COVID-related deaths have been recorded in the past day, bringing the death toll of the fifth wave of infection in HK to 9,192.
