Due to the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 still in force for some time, the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) is not open to the public today (July 2).

The public opening of the HKPM will be postponed to tomorrow (July 3) and the opening hours will be extended. The museum will open at 9 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. tomorrow.

For visitors who have purchased tickets for July 3, please follow the original arrangement and enter the museum within the first hour of the scheduled admission time.

For visitors who have purchased tickets for July 2 with admission time of 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., they can use their tickets to enter the museum at 9 a.m. or at their scheduled time slot on July 3. Those who have purchased tickets for July 2 at noon (12 o'clock) or thereafter can enter the museum at their scheduled time slot or after 4 p.m. on July 3.

The validity of the unused tickets will be extended for 180 days starting from the day affected (not applicable for free General Admission Ticket on Wednesday).

The HKPM advises visitors that there is no need to rush to visit the HKPM on July 3. Ticket holders can use the original tickets for admission at the same time slot on any day within the validity period. Visitors entering the Museum on Wednesdays will not be refunded the difference in the ticket price.
