EyE on U | Raymond Siu on JPC: Nurturing crime-fighting partners and future leaders

DotDotNews gladly presents a new program named "EyE on U," co-hosted by Eunice Yung, Legislative Council member, and Edward Leung, member of Chinese Association of HK & Macao Studies. In each episode, politicians, business leaders, and professionals from different sectors will be invited to share with us their insights on popular topics related to HK.

In this episode of EyE on U, we invite Raymond Siu, Commissioner of Police of the HK Police Force to share with us some knowledge on the policing work as well as his views on ways to improve citizens’ impressions of the police. At present, many HK citizens have a negative impression of the police force, especially after the 2019 unrest. To address this issue, Siu said that the most basic thing is to perform their duties in a professional manner to better safeguard the security of HK people.

Why do some citizens hold negative views against the HK police? How to bridge the gap between young people and the police? What will the police do to tackle fake news? How to improve public understanding of the policing work? Watch the video now to find the answers.
