EyE on U | Bernard Chan: Ultimate goal of ExCo is to improve running of HK
DotDotNews gladly presents a new program named "EyE on U," co-hosted by Eunice Yung, Legislative Council member, and Edward Leung, member of Chinese Association of HK & Macao Studies. In each episode, politicians, business leaders, and professionals from different sectors will be invited to share with us their insights on popular topics related to HK.
In this episode of EyE on U, we invite Bernard Chan, the non-official convenor of the Executive Council (ExCo) to share with us some knowledge on the ExCo meeting and his opinions on HK's development. To many, the ExCo might seem to be a mysterious body in HK's political system due to the high confidentiality of its work. But with Mr. Chan's explanation, a clearer picture is believed to be brought to our audience.
What is the role of the ExCo? How is it composed, and should the council include more people from the opposition? How should the SAR government step up its efforts to assist young people in their career development in the GBA and seek more opportunities from the Belt and Road Initiative? Watch the video now to find the answers.
