HK's Sarah Lee wins keirin bronze at 14th National Games
Hong Kong's star cyclist Sarah Lee Wai-sze won on Tuesday (Sept. 14) the bronze medal in the Women's Keirin (Track Cycling) Event at the 14th National Games in Luoyang, Henan province, her second medal at this year's games.
Secretary for Home Affairs Caspar Tsui Ying-wai congratulated Lee on her victory.
"Despite being a veteran athlete, Lee Wai-sze still gives her all in every competition and demonstrates sophisticated techniques," Tsui said in a statement.
"Her charm and graciousness have won our hearts and made her a role model for Hong Kong athletes."
Lee, 34, defeated rival Zhong Tianshi of Shanghai 2-0 to win gold in the Women's Sprint (Track Cycling) on Monday.
Hong Kong athletes have so far bagged one gold and two bronzes at the games.
