HK: 8.15 mn COVID jabs administered

As of Sunday  (Sept. 12), About 8,151,800 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 4,340,300 people receiving their first dose and around 3,811,500 getting their second dose.

Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 1,574,100 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 2,766,300 people got the BioNTech one.

For the second dose, about 1,398,100 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 2,413,400 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.

About 36,200 people received jabs under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme on Sunday.

Around 1,700 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and around 5,100 people received their second dose.

For the BioNTech vaccine, about 8,600 people received their first dose and around 20,800 people got their second dose.

The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at community vaccination centers is about 97%, while it is about 96% for the BioNTech one.

As of 8 pm Sunday, about 700 people booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 3,500 reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.
