Hong Kong, China, won the bronze medal in the women's team competition in table tennis at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. HK team representative Doo Hoi Kem said she would like to go to Tiananmen Square again, especially attending the solemnflag-raising ceremony in the early morning.
After the award ceremony in the Tokyo Olympic Games, Liu Guoliang, the Chinese Table Tennis Association president, invited the HK team to take a group photo together. Doo Hoi Kem felt that it was very precious to leave such a photo in the Olympic Games. She said excitedly, "We (HK and mainland China) are a family. We are fighting for the glory of our country together."

The provincial and national teams have trained Doo Hoi Kem in mainland China since she was a child. She thinks that the national table tennis team is a very outstanding group and there is a lot to learn from the national team members. The spirit of the national team's unity and hard work has deeply infected her.
Doo said: "I am Chinese. This is an indisputable fact." Seeing the national flag and district flag raised together on the award platform, Doo could not help but sing the national anthem with pride.
When it comes to future expectations, Doo stated, "I hope to strive for more good results and honors in the field of sports and influence HK young people around me with the positive energy of this kind of sports. In addition, I hope there will be more exchanges between the Mainland and HK so that the young generation in HK can feel the strength of the motherland, which can broaden their horizons and find more development opportunities.
