Coronavirus | HK logs 1 COVID-19 imported case from Saudi Arabia

Hong Kong reported one new imported COVID-19 case on Wednesday (July 28), pushing the city's tally to 11,980.

The new patient was a 17-year-old teenager who flew to the city from Saudi Arabia, according to a statement issued by the Centre for Health Protection.

A total of 27 cases have been reported in the past 14 days and all of them are imported cases

She developed symptoms on Tuesday (July 27), the CHP added.

As of Tuesday (July 27), nearly 3.1 million people in Hong Kong have taken at least the first coronavirus vaccine dose, accounting for 45.6 percent of people aged 12 and above. Among them, about 2.3 million have been fully vaccinated, the government said.
