This episode of "Shanghai Through Our Eyes" features Magand Lucine, a French air hostess with China Eastern Airlines.
"Shanghai people are very friendly and open-minded especially towards foreigners and foreign culture," said Lucine.
Having a Chinese name Li Xi, she has been in Shanghai for over seven years. She studied Chinese at Shanghai Jiaotong University for three years and then started working with CEAir. She was married to a Shanghai local.
As a flight attendant, Lucine enjoys the routine round-trip flight between France and Shanghai, which drove her to discover the different charisma of those two enchanted places.
"I think the relationship between France and China has got better over the years and that's why I am here."
Thanks to the development of technology, as she suggested in the interview, the cash-only payment mode has been replaced by QR code scanning in China.
"Adding friends on WeChat, or paying if you go shopping, you can just use a QR code anywhere, very convenient," said Lucine.
