OMG｜78-year-old Chinese man teaches himself English for chatting to his foreign son-in-law
Yizhuo Wang, from Shanghai, 74 years old, has gained much attention online with his fluent English. Yizhuo Wang said that learning English is his hobby, and he has taught himself English through reading and the Internet from his work to retirement. Recently, he still spends two to three hours a day studying.
In addition to his hobby, two other reasons prompt him to learn English. Wang said, "one is that I like to travel, and the other is that my daughter married an American who can’t speak Chinese, and now we can communicate normally."
