Coronavirus | Chinese mainland reports 7 new cases, all from overseas
The Chinese mainland recorded seven new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday (Feb. 23), all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Thursday (Feb. 24).
No more deaths related to COVID-19 were reported, the NHC said.
Nine new asymptomatic cases were also recorded on Wednesday, and 279 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland has reached 89,871, and the death toll remains 4,636.
The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:
Hong Kong: 10,913 (10,461 recoveries, 198 deaths)
Macao: 48 (47 recoveries)
Taiwan: 946 (899 recoveries, 9 deaths)
