Cute and cuddly alerts! First batch of HK-produced customs detector dogs

Due to the epidemic, Hong Kong Customs suspended the introduction of dogs from overseas. However, in 2020, Hong Kong Customs achieved tremendous breakthroughs in its canine profession. The first batch of six HK's self-bred Labrador puppies was born at the new breeding center located at the HK-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Control Point. Interestingly, the initials of their names can join together to form the word "LEGEND".

The six puppies will receive 10 weeks of formal detector dog training after reaching the age of one. The breeding program selected male and female dogs with excellent bloodlines to ensure the essential quality of new-born detector puppies, which means all of their entire family has been used as detector dogs.

As customs detector dogs, they have to shoulder the critical mission of guarding the border at a young age. How do the six small customs "reservists" perform in various aspects? If you want to know whether they can pass the final test or not, please stay tuned to our follow-up reports.
