Ocean Park will launch "Green Staycation" in October, allowing visitors to do yoga and meditate at various locations in the park, including the artificial lake, aquarium and "North Pole Encounter" under the gaze of sea lions and seals. Visitors can also climb the Brick Hill along the cable car trail, where tour guides will introduce the flora and fauna. As for camping-lovers, they can stay overnight in the fully air-conditioned tents inside the park.
The cash-strapped park said these are ideas they hope will lure back visitors to the venue which is struggling to stay afloat after accruing huge debts. The government has already extended multi-billion dollar allowance and asked them to revamp the park to attract more visitors.
Visitors with one-day tickets, annual passes or unlimited passes can enjoy "Green Staycation" at an additional HK$80, all of which will be donated to the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation.
