The 2025 Legislative Council General Election will be held on Dec. 7. The New Home Association, in partnership with 20 ethnic minority community organizations and the Yau Tsim Mong District Office, hosted an Election Information Seminar today (Dec. 6) at the Hall of Yau Mong Multicultural Activity Centre, providing comprehensive election information and support to members of ethnic minority communities.
At the beginning of the event, organizers held a two-minute moment of silence to commemorate the victims of the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po on November 26.
Following this, Mr. Chan Ye e-fei, the Head of Service (Hong Kong ) at New Home Association, delivered an opening speech, emphasizing the importance of civic participation in elections and the significance of minority communities having their voices heard.
Subsequently, Mr. Edward Yu, the Yau Tsim Mong District Officer, provided attendees with essential information regarding the Legislative Council election and addressed questions related to voter registration and the voting process.
The event featured three information booths: a voter registration and election procedures booth, a candidate information booth, and a community resources booth.
This seminar aimed to ensure that every voice in Hong Kong's diverse community can be heard in tomorrow's LegCo election. The event was organized by New Home Association, steered by the Yau Tsim Mong District Office, and supported by 20 ethnic minority community organizations.
