According to CCTV News, on Oct. 25 local time, US President Trump has departed for Southeast Asia, beginning a one-week visit to three countries: Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea.
It is reported that Trump’s aircraft, Air Force One, made a stop in Doha for refueling at the US military base Al-Udeid. During this stop, Trump met with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim, and the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed.
During the meeting, Trump praised Qatar's role in promoting peace in the Middle East. After the meeting, in response to questions from accompanying reporters, Trump stated that "international forces" will soon be deployed to the Gaza Strip, and that Qatar is willing to send troops if needed.
