According to a report by China News Service citing Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK), on Oct. 14 (local time), Japanese Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Sanae Takaichi apologized at a meeting of the party's members in both houses regarding the Komeito party's exit from the ruling coalition, expressing hope for support in the upcoming Prime Minister nomination election.

The report stated that on the afternoon of Oct. 14, the LDP held a meeting of its members from both houses that lasted about an hour and a half. During the meeting, Takaichi explained the circumstances surrounding Komeito's departure from the ruling coalition and said, "I take responsibility for this and apologize to everyone."

Later that day, in a speech, Takaichi addressed comments suggesting that while she has become the LDP president, she may not be able to become Prime Minister. She stated that she would not give up and would do her utmost to persevere until the end. She also declared, "I absolutely must become Prime Minister," and indicated that if elected, she would strengthen Japan's economy.

According to previous reports, some analysts suggested that following the announcement by Komeito on the afternoon of October 10 to exit the ruling coalition with the LDP, it is likely that the LDP president will face challenges in winning the upcoming Prime Minister nomination election.
