The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has announced that Hong Kong will be one of the host cities for the UCI Track World Cup over the next two years.
The Cycling Association of HK, China, confirmed today (Aug. 23) that the events will take place at the Hong Kong Velodrome in Tseung Kwan O. Hosting the competition is expected to enhance HK's global image, boost tourism, and provide the local cycling team with a home advantage in their bid to qualify for the Olympics.
According to the UCI, the HK rounds of the UCI Track World Cup are scheduled for April 17–19, 2026, and April 23–25, 2027. Notably, the 2027 event will serve as a qualification event for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
