According to a report by CCTV News, on Aug. 19 (local time), a driver in North Carolina crashed into a veterinary clinic, causing a gas leak that subsequently led to an explosion, injuring three firefighters.

According to a statement released by local police, the driver, 46 years old, has been charged with driving under the influence, aggravated assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, and hit-and-run. He is currently being held at a detention center.
According to ABC News, the driver crashed into the medical clinic, which caused a gas line to rupture and leak gas. The driver then fled the scene. At the time of the explosion, local firefighters were inside the building that had been struck by the vehicle searching, during which the gas explosion occurred. There were no civilians in the building at the time of the explosion, and the fire caused by the blast was subsequently brought under control.
