As of August 14, 2025 (the 13th International Memorial Day for Japanese Military "Comfort Women"), there are only 7 registered survivors of the Japanese military's "comfort women" system in mainland China. This data has been continuously tracked and confirmed by the Research Center for the "Comfort Women" Issue at Shanghai Normal University and is considered the most authoritative statistic available.

Professor Su Zhiliang, recognized as a leading expert on the "comfort women" issue in China, recently stated in a media interview that the average age of these remaining 7 elderly survivors is 96, with the oldest being 99 years old. "As time passes, it will become increasingly difficult to find more survivors."

As witnesses gradually dwindle, the blood and tears of their experiences will not be forgotten; the brutal truth cannot be buried. They are waiting for an apology.
