The diplomatic relationship between the leaders of China and Russia has played an important strategic role in maintaining a high-level operation of bilateral relations. During this visit, it is expected that the leaders will engage in candid discussions on bilateral relations and other international issues of mutual concern. It is believed that both sides will reach a series of important consensuses, injecting new dynamism into China-Russia relations and adding new vitality to their high-level cooperation. In the face of the United States wielding tariffs globally, China and Russia, as major world powers, permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, and emerging market countries, cannot allow the world to revert to the jungle law of the survival of the fittest. They cannot permit one country's self-interest to override the common good of all nations, nor can they condone the disregard or abandonment of international rules.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War, and the global anti-fascist war, as well as the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. Additionally, this year, China will assume the chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, while Russia will chair the BRICS nations.
