US President Donald Trump announced on April 9 a 90-day pause of reciprocal tariffs for most nations, while simultaneously raising tariffs on Chinese goods to 125%, citing "China's lack of respect for the global market."
Trump's tariff policies have drawn widespread criticism in China. Beyond governmental retaliatory measures, Yiwu, a world-famous small commodities manufacturing hub, has launched its own unique response—mocking Trump through creative merchandise.
Recently, images of Trump-themed products have flooded online platforms. These include stress-relief squeeze toys, Trump dolls, and even a Donald Trump toilet brush, with his signature hairstyle serving as the brush bristles. Some sellers even suggest pairing it with Trump-themed toilet paper rolls.

On e-commerce platforms, a Trump toilet brush sells for around US$9.9, and the accompanying toilet paper rolls are a popular bundle. Yiwu manufacturers have found a niche market, as US consumers tend to appreciate the humor in these products.

According to reports from the mainland media, a Yiwu daily goods factory owner revealed that Trump toilet brushes have consistently performed well in sales, not just during election seasons. Trump's entertainment value has inspired Yiwu businesses to innovate boldly, creating a variety of satirical products.
For example, after the July 2024 attack on Trump, Yiwu vendors quickly rolled out a line of merchandise featuring the incident, such as T-shirts and phone cases. These items became best-sellers on cross-border e-commerce platforms.
Thanks to their highly efficient supply chains, Yiwu manufacturers can design, sample, and launch new products within hours of a major event, shipping globally at remarkable speed. This ability to respond rapidly to market trends has given them a significant competitive edge in the global e-commerce arena.
