This afternoon, Chinese rescue teams successfully pulled a survivor from the rubble of the Golden Country Hotel on 65th Street in Mandalay. The survivor, rescued after days trapped beneath the debris, provided critical information: two more individuals may still be alive under the same collapsed structure.
Immediately, a joint rescue operation was launched involving five teams, including the Mainland Chinese national rescue units, the Hong Kong SAR rescue team, and the Shenzhen Public Welfare Rescue Team. Working under the cover of night, the teams began a coordinated search-and-rescue effort amid the wreckage.

As night fell, reports of two possible survivors reignited momentum. The four teams quickly divided tasks and began concentrated searches where signs of life were suspected.

The Hong Kong SAR Rescue Team took charge of both search and controlled demolition operations. Equipped with advanced rescue gear and accompanied by search dogs trained to detect human scent, the team worked relentlessly to locate any remaining trapped individuals.
Later in the evening, a fifth team—the Shuguang Rescue Team—arrived on-site, joining the high-stakes effort. The collective Chinese rescue force employed demolition tools, life detectors, and thermal imaging equipment, racing against time to open life corridors through the debris.
The atmosphere was tense but determined. Every sound from beneath the rubble brought hope. Every cleared stone brought them closer to the missing.
