The International Science, Technology and Innovation Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) will take place in Hong Kong from June 6 to 7 at the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre, as announced by Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology, and Industry, at a press conference today (March 26).
Sun stated that the forum is a globally significant platform for high-level collaboration and dialogue on science, technology, and innovation issues. Over the years, HK has participated in various capacities in the forum's three annual conferences.
This year, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government is co-hosting the forum with the Boao Organizing Committee. Sun emphasized that this collaboration not only continues the tradition of hosting the forum in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area but also underscores HK's unique advantages as a highly internationalized city and its critical role in connecting the country with the world.
Sun also revealed plans for a dedicated HK session during the forum, which will feature prominent experts and leaders from various sectors. The session aims to explore how HK can leverage its unique position as a gateway connecting the Mainland and the international community to foster global collaboration.
