Enhancing HK's global appeal: New measures to attract enterprises and organizations. (DotDotNews)

Hong Kong is actively implementing measures to enhance its appeal to enterprises and organizations, aiming to increase the number of mega-events and visitors to the city. Here are the key initiatives:

Strategic Enterprises Investment:

OASES will announce over 10 strategic enterprises next month. Together with previously announced investments, these enterprises are expected to invest around $50 billion in Hong Kong, creating more than 20,000 jobs in the coming years.

Company Re-domiciliation Mechanism:

To attract companies from the Mainland and globally, a bill has been submitted to the Legislative Council (LegCo) to introduce a company re-domiciliation mechanism. This will facilitate overseas companies in relocating their headquarters or corporate divisions to Hong Kong.

International Organization for Mediation (IOMed):

The headquarters of IOMed is set to open by the end of this year. This organization will be the first international intergovernmental body to establish its headquarters in Hong Kong, specializing in international dispute resolution through mediation. This development reinforces Hong Kong's status as a hub for international mediation.

Kai Tak Sports Park:

The Kai Tak Sports Park is set to officially open in three days, providing a world-class venue for international mega-events. This facility aims to promote the development of culture, sports, and tourism in Hong Kong and will host various events, including the National Games.

World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) Summit:

Hong Kong will host the 2025 WTCF Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit in April, marking the first time the event is held in the city. The summit is expected to draw representatives from approximately 40 countries and regions, further boosting Hong Kong's profile as a global tourism destination.

These initiatives are part of Hong Kong's broader strategy to enhance its economic landscape and attract international attention and investment.
