A triple homicide involving three generations occurred in Yuen Long's Chun Hing New Village last night (Feb. 11), where a 93-year-old man and his 69-year-old son were found dead in a village house unit. Shortly after the incident, the 19-year-old grandson of the deceased, was found dead after falling from a height at Long Ping Estate, approximately 500 meters away from Chun Hing New Village.

Yuen Long District Assistant Commander (Crime) Kwan Chun-hin briefed the media on the case today (Feb. 12).
Kwan stated that at 8:10 p.m. yesterday, the police received a report from a man indicating that two men had died in Chun Hing Estate, and two minutes later, a 19-year-old man fell from a height at Long Ping Estate. Upon arrival at a 450-square-foot unit in Chun Hing New Village, with the gate slightly ajar, two men were found lying on the ground near the kitchen. The 93-year-old man had significant bleeding on his face and neck, while the 69-year-old man had multiple injuries and was bleeding heavily. Both were confirmed dead at the scene. Beside them were a 22 cm long kitchen shears and a 21 cm long fruit knife, both stained with blood. Investigation revealed that the 93-year-old man lived alone in the unit where the incident occurred, and the 69-year-old man was his son. There were no signs of ransacking in the unit, and there were belongings both inside the house and on the individuals.
Kwan continued to explain that the deceased at Long Ping Estate was a 19-year-old man, the grandson of the 93-year-old deceased. Personal belongings of the deceased were found on the 18th-floor corridor of the building, believed to be the location of the fall. The cause of his death was determined to be fractures, consistent with injuries from the fall. Investigation revealed that the grandfather and father visited the Chun Hing New Village unit first, and the grandson later went there alone and then proceeded to Long Ping Estate, where he reported the incident. The police are currently investigating various aspects of the case, including motives such as personal backgrounds, family relationships, and disputes over property interests. All three deceased individuals were unemployed and had no history of disputes.
Additionally, at around 9 a.m. this morning, police and investigating officers returned to Chun Hing New Village to search for evidence in the relevant areas, including flower beds and drains, and then proceeded on foot to Long Ping Estate 500 meters away, where the grandson fell to his death, to gather clues. Around 10 a.m., near a lamppost approximately 200 meters from the crime scene, the police discovered a red-handled utility knife, which is currently being examined for its potential involvement in the case.
