On Jan. 28, Beijing time (Chinese New Year's Eve) at 8 PM, the China Central Radio and Television Station (CCTV) presented the "2025 Spring Festival Gala," meeting global audiences as promised. As the first Spring Festival Gala since the successful application for UNESCO heritage status, CCTV connected with global media through a multilingual, all-media international communication matrix, sharing a rich cultural feast with the world. As of 6 PM on Jan. 29, multiple overseas broadcasting metrics for the gala reached new highs, breaking historical records.

**Most Languages:** CCTV broadcast the gala in 82 languages through its external communication platforms, adding 14 new languages compared to 2024.

**Best Reception:** CGTN (China Global Television Network) reported a global reading volume of 1.738 billion for the gala, with video views reaching 587 million.

**Widest Reach:** CCTV collaborated with over 3,100 global media outlets for simultaneous broadcasts and reports on the gala.

**Strongest Interaction:** The "Year of the Snake FUN Dance Challenge" attracted enthusiastic participation from netizens in over 70 countries and regions. The live stream on CCTV's overseas social media platforms garnered 82 million views, a 26.54% increase from last year.

**Most Spectacular Screens:** The gala was broadcast on 3,508 public screens in 136 cities across 87 countries. The number of screens increased by 223 from last year, with the coverage of countries and cities growing by 77.55% and 51%, respectively.

**Global Connectivity**

Major overseas media widely broadcast the gala.

Starting January 27, CNN (Cable News Network) promoted the CCTV Spring Festival Gala through its North American domestic channel, international North American, Europe/Middle East/Africa, Asia-Pacific channels, as well as its official website and app, reaching over 800 million global users. Television viewers from the UK, France, and other countries praised the gala for providing overseas audiences a window into Chinese culture, with dazzling dances and melodious songs conveying a strong festive atmosphere.

Japan's largest video site, Niconico, live-streamed the gala for the tenth consecutive year with Japanese simultaneous interpretation, attracting over 101,000 real-time viewers. Japanese netizens commented in the chat, "The robot performance at this year's gala was amazing!" and "Watching the gala made me fall in love with China."

VK, Russia's largest social media platform, provided full live coverage of the gala in Russian for the second consecutive year, reaching nearly 200 million Russian-speaking audiences, with total live views surpassing 4.3 million.
