OMG | Dancing tradition and prayer: Bench Dragon
As its name suggests, the Bench Dragon is a movable dragon lantern constructed by linking individual benches together. Structurally, it consists of three parts: the dragon head, the dragon body (sub-lanterns), and the dragon tail. According to legend, the Bench Dragon originated during the Han Dynasty and evolved from the religious ritual of performing dragon dances to pray for rain.
