Journalist's Hands-On Experiences | A taste of Indian culture: Yoga, film and food

Jan. 21 witnesses the launch of "Incredible India" in HKMU LiPACE, which is the sixth event of the "International Lifelong Learning Festival". Spotlights shine on the inauguration of the yoga room (yogashala), the enjoyable appreciation of an Indian movie, and the treatment of Indian snacks, which jointly form a promising, fun, and meaningful commencement of Indian cultural week.

The International Lifelong Learning Festival aims to provide students with immersive experiences to learn about the cultures and experiences of other countries, promoting "local internationalization,""cross-cultural awareness," and "inclusivity." It serves as the core of interdisciplinary learning to help foster a harmonious student community.

Following previous successful collaborations with the consulates of Finland, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Hungary, and Japan in Hong Kong, HKMU LiPACE today (Jan. 21) partnered with the Consulate General of India to host the Indian culture-themed event. Ms. Satwant Khanalia, the Consul General of India in Hong Kong, visited the HKMU LiPACE Kwai Hing campus and co-hosted the inauguration ceremony of the newly established yoga room with Professor Reggie Kwan, the Provost of HKMU.

During the visit, I perceive the cultural significance of yoga and Buddhism in India. By attaining balance and inner peace, the nation apprehends spirituality.

Later, by appreciating the Indian road comedy "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara"(Life Will Never Come Again), we gain a more colorful and rich apprehension of modern Indian culture and lifestyle. (DotDotNews)
