The government announced on social media that a new voice alert service is launched today (Dec. 31) to increase citizens' awareness of suspicious calls.
Local mobile service providers will send voice alerts to local mobile and fixed services users for calls made from newly activated local prepaid SIM cards to further assist the public in staying vigilant against suspicious calls.
The service is provided free of charge, with no prior registration or mobile application installation required, and no settings need to be adjusted.
The government reminds users to remain vigilant while using telecommunications services to avoid financial losses. They should not answer calls from unknown numbers casually and should not disclose personal information or transfer money to callers whose identities have not been verified.
