Earlier this month, the Chinese journal, "Excessive Wording", released the top 10 Chinese buzzwords of 2024.

First on the list is "Digital Intelligence", which highlights the integration of digitization and intelligence to drive innovation and productivity.

Next is "AI for Good", emphasizing that AI development should benefit humanity, fostering sustainable development and societal well-being.

"Future-oriented Industries" refers to emerging sectors powered by cutting-edge technologies, such as future manufacturing, energy, and health.

"City or Not", popularized by an American blogger, describes whether a city is modern, stylish, and fashionable.

From gaming, "Hard Crowd Control" is now used to describe being completely captivated by something.

"Shui Lingling De", originally meaning "lovely and lively," went viral after a Korean singer used it. It's now applied to describe vivid, impressive, or even humorous situations, like: "I was 'shuilinglingde' fired."

"Job Burnout" captures the exhaustion caused by heavy workloads, tough conditions, and workplace stress.

A positive trend is "A Laid-back Vibe". It reflects a psychological state where individuals can calmly handle unexpected situations.

"Silver Power" refers to the growing influence of the elderly in society, especially in what's now called the "silver economy."

Lastly, "Kid Brother" or "Kid Sister" refers to talented children who outperform adults in certain areas, earning admiration and respect.
