Clouds not to affect fireworks viewing over Victoria Harbour tonight
A fireworks display will be held over Victoria Harbour tonight (Dec. 31).
The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) predicts warm weather in Hong Kong this afternoon, but as an easterly wind blows tonight, it will become cooler. Citizens are advised to bring a jacket if they plan to go out.
While clouds are expected tonight, they will be relatively high. Therefore, it is believed that they will not significantly affect the fireworks viewing.
The Observatory also anticipates that from New Year's Day to Thursday (Jan. 1), the weather will be generally cloudy, with clear spells at times.
