The iconic Tai Pak Floating Restaurant, with over 60 years of history, is expected to reopen as early as the second half of 2026, according to the Development Bureau.
Currently docked at the Aberdeen Promenade, the pontoon will be relocated to the northern shore of Ap Lei Chau to enhance accessibility for visitors traveling via the MTR Lei Tung Station, allowing them to explore nearby attractions such as the Hung Shing Temple before visiting the restaurant. The reopening is anticipated to stimulate tourism in the Southern District.
