On Dec. 17, Hong Kong Customs carried out special enforcement actions across multiple areas to combat the sale of counterfeit goods, seizing approximately 1,300 suspected counterfeit items with an estimated market value of about HK$1.4 million. During the operation, Customs arrested four men aged between 44 and 54, including two company directors and two store managers.
Earlier, Customs received reports alleging that a retail chain was selling suspected counterfeit Marshall speakers and wireless headphones. Following an in-depth investigation and with the assistance of the trademark holder, Customs personnel conducted enforcement actions yesterday, raiding eight stores of the group in various districts and a factory unit in Kowloon, seizing a batch of suspected counterfeit speakers and wireless headphones.
The case is still under investigation, and more arrests may not be ruled out.
