The series of celebrations for the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland is underway. To support traffic management efforts by Zhuhai authorities, the Hong Kong Transport Department has announced temporary traffic arrangements for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge starting tomorrow (Dec. 13).
From 8 a.m. on Dec. 13, 2024, to 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 22, 2024, the left and middle lanes of a section of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge between the San Shek Wan Turnaround Facility and approximately 1.3 kilometers west of it (heading towards Zhuhai and Macao) will be temporarily closed. Vehicles heading to Zhuhai and Macao should use the right lane.
Additionally, the middle lane of the section between approximately 1.3 kilometers west of the San Shek Wan Turnaround Facility and the East Artificial Island (heading towards Zhuhai and Macao) will be temporarily closed. Vehicles heading to Zhuhai should use the left lane, while those heading to Macao should use the right lane.
The Transport Department anticipates that travel times will be longer when passing through this section of the bridge. During the implementation of these temporary traffic arrangements, drivers are advised to be cautious and follow the instructions of on-site traffic signs.
