Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link boosts local economy, with annual income of Yakou Village exceeding RMB 40mn
Since the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link nearly six months ago, the "one-hour living circle" effect in the Greater Bay Area has become evident, with significant increases in traffic.
According to statistics, the traffic volume on the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link has surpassed 10 million, boosting the economic vitality along the route.
Among the beneficiaries is Yakou Village in Zhongshan, which has seen a surge in popularity, with expected tourist numbers exceeding 6 million this year, a growth of over 20% compared to last year.
How does Yakou village capture the flow of visitors? The village positions itself as a travel destination for young people and couples. According to a local, the village has now attracted more tourists from Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Dongguan.
