Caricature: Irrevocable judgment
The sentencing for the "35+ Subversion Case" took place on Nov. 19. The court decided the starting point for the sentencing based on the roles and levels of involvement of the 45 defendants in the crime.
Among them, the court ruled that defendants Fergus Leung and Sam Cheung Ho-sum who had pleaded guilty, as well as defendant Owen Chow Ka-shing who had not pleaded guilty, were more actively involved than other defendants who were also "primary election" candidates and adopted an 8-year imprisonment starting point for their sentences.
Based on their pleas and circumstances, the court ultimately sentenced Fergus Leung to 59 months in prison, Sam Cheung Ho-sum to 59 months in prison, and Chow Ka-shing to 93 months in prison.
