US President Joe Biden celebrates 82nd birthday, becoming oldest sitting president in American history
On November 20, local time, U.S. President Joe Biden celebrated his 82nd birthday, becoming the oldest sitting president in American history.
The White House announced that Biden had just returned from a six-day trip to South America and had no public events scheduled for Wednesday (November 20).
Vice President Kamala Harris posted her congratulations, and Biden's family, friends, and colleagues, including First Lady Jill Biden and former President Barack Obama, also extended their birthday wishes on social media.
However, Biden's record as the oldest sitting president may not last long. At 78, Donald Trump has just won the U.S. election, becoming the oldest elected president in American history. When his term ends in 2029, he will break Biden's record by becoming the oldest sitting president at 82 years and 7 months.
