China's National Cultural Heritage Administration announced on Friday (Nov. 8) the return of 56 Chinese cultural relics and artworks from Italy to China.
This return is a successful collaboration carried out under the framework of the bilateral agreement between the governments of China and Italy to prevent the illegal import and export of cultural relics.
On the evening of Nov. 8, President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan joined Italian President Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura Mattarella at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to appreciate the Chinese lost cultural relics seized and returned to China by Italy.
It is reported that this return or in March 2019 after Italy returned 796 pieces of Chinese cultural relics art.
