The results of the US presidential election were released on Wednesday (Nov. 6). Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump won more than half of the electoral votes, defeating Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris to become the 47th president of the United States. He is also the first presidential candidate since 1892 to win a second term in the US after losing his re-election bid.
