
The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) reported that this past October was the hottest on record since measurements began in 1884.
The average temperature reached 27.3°C, with average high and low temperatures of 30.3°C and 25.4°C, respectively. These temperatures surpassed the previous October records by 1.6°C, 2.2°C, and 1.5°C.
There were three days in October when the maximum temperature at the Observatory headquarters reached or exceeded 33°C, tying the record for the most extremely hot days in October.
