The second exchange-traded fund (ETF) that tracks Hong Kong stocks, the Hang Seng Index ETF has been listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange.
Hong Kong's Financial Secretary, Paul Chan, participated in the listing ceremony in Saudi Arabia. During his speech, he stated that Hong Kong is connecting with exchanges, businesses, and investors around the world, seeking to enhance cooperation and capital flows with the Middle East to expand both markets mutually.
Chan emphasized the importance of connecting with global capital for economic development. He noted that the listing of the ETF represents their determination to deepen these efforts, highlighting that the Hong Kong ETF is an excellent product and that Hong Kong serves as a fundraising platform for mainland companies.
