When ordering takeout, customers can leave notes with their flavor preferences; however, too many requests can lead to humorous situations.
A netizen, who appears to be a restaurant owner, recently shared a takeout order on Threads. In the remarks section, it was noted that the customer ordered a "pineapple chicken fried rice" and elaborated with over 100 words of "ultra requests," including a demand to add something to "increase the source of fragrance," which sparked lively discussions.
The image uploaded by the owner showed that the order consisted of "pineapple chicken fried rice + soda," totaling HK$86, with a 21% discount bringing the final amount to HK$68. What stood out most was the customer's lengthy notes, "Do not use frozen chicken pieces; the pineapple must include both pieces and juice, along with various colored vegetables to enhance the appearance. If other vegetables are provided, they should be chopped finely, but onions are essential, as they increase the source of fragrance. The Sprite should be placed in a separate bag to avoid mixing hot food with cold drinks, which would lower the temperature of the food." The user captioned the post, "LMAO, I have abs now."
After seeing the order, netizens commented that the customer was a "typical difficult customer," and "the most difficult of all." They criticized the excessive demands, saying, "If they have such high standards for food, they shouldn't settle for takeout; they should cook that dish themselves," and "Most of the time, customers' requests are reasonable, but this one, different." One netizen speculated, "Now the cook can have the chance to curse those customers and add some 'special ingredients' to their food." Another pointed out that while the customer had high demands, they oddly had no specific requests for the fried rice itself.
Additionally, some netizens were curious about how the restaurant handled the order and asked the owner, "Have you canceled the order?"
The user simply replied, "Yes."
