Cases of personal bankruptcy and winding-up of companies in HK decreases in September
Data from the Official Receiver's Office shows that cases of personal bankruptcy and winding-up of companies in Hong Kong decreased in September.
In September, there were 650 bankruptcy petitions, marking a decline for the second consecutive month, down approximately 16% month-on-month and nearly 2% year-on-year.
Last month, the court issued 663 winding-up or bankruptcy orders, a nearly 5% decrease from the previous month, continuing a two-month decline; however, this represents an increase of over 19% compared to the same period last year.
In September, the court issued 25 winding-up orders, a month-on-month decrease of about 51% and a year-on-year decrease of approximately 22%.
