48,400 DSE candidates receive final exam certificates starting today
Starting today (Oct. 15), the Examination Authority has begun distributing exam certificates to nearly 48,400 candidates from the 2024 DSE examination. School candidates can collect their certificates according to their respective school's arrangements, while private candidates will receive theirs via mail.
The Examination Authority noted that in July when results were initially released, each candidate received a results notification. Some candidates had their grades improved following a review, and these final grades are now recorded on the DSE certificates. Candidates who did not achieve at least Level 1 in one subject or meet the standard will not receive a DSE certificate.
The Examination Authority reminded candidates that the DSE certificate is an important qualification document for further studies or employment. After receiving their certificates, candidates should carefully verify their personal details and subject grades.
If corrections are needed, candidates can submit their certificate with a completed correction form to the Examination Authority by Dec. 31 of this year free of charge. After this date, a fee of HK$286 will apply.
The Examination Authority also emphasized that each DSE certificate is issued only once in the year of the examination and features a unique certificate number and the signature of the current Secretary-General, making each one unique. Candidates are advised to keep their certificates safe as they cannot be reissued if lost, the candidates can only apply for documentary proof of their results.
