Tesla Robotaxi unveiled! Available for US$30,000 in future

At 22:00 on Oct. 10 (10:00 Beijing time on Oct. 11), Tesla's "We, Robot" event was held at Warner Bros. Studios Tour Hollywood, where the Robotaixi prototype Cybercab was officially unveiled. What are the highlights of the new car? What other new products were introduced at the event?

Cybercab will be available for US$30,000 in the future with the introduction of inductive charging technology

At the start of the press conference, Musk arrived at the venue to test drive the Cybercab, with the live video showing the car's doors opening like a butterfly's feathered wings, with angular edges and a stainless steel exterior.

Musk announced at the event, adding that it would be a good idea for consumers to buy the car for less than US$150,000 (about HK$230,000).

Cybercab is said to have no steering wheel or pedals, and will introduce inductive charging technology to bring the cost of travel down to US$5 to 10 cents per mile; the Cybercab is expected to go into production and be sold to the public in 2026.

Robovan, a driverless van, and Optimus, a robot, were unveiled

Musk also unveiled a driverless van, called "Robovan," that can carry up to 20 people at a time. This new model is designed for group travel and is expected to be used in a variety of scenarios such as shared trips or commercial connections.

Meanwhile, Optimus, Tesla's labor-saving humanoid robot, made an appearance, which was designed to assist with a variety of daily tasks and labor-intensive jobs.

In the long run, Musk wants to sell them for roughly US$20,000 each and he believes they will do many tasks from cutting the lawn to grocery shopping.
