The 15th Asian Dragon Boat Championships kicked off today (Oct. 11) at the Kwun Tong Promenade, marking the first time in 28 years that Hong Kong has hosted the event. This year's competition has attracted teams from 13 countries and regions, with a total of 800 dragon boat athletes competing.
The championship features races over four distances: 100 meters, 200 meters, 500 meters, and 2000 meters.
During the event, spectator seating will be available at the Kwun Tong Promenade, allowing the public to watch the races from a close distance.
Traditional Chinese-themed games and activities will also be set up on-site. The venue will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission for all.
