Finance Ministry to detail enhanced counter-cyclical measures on Oct. 11

The State Council Information Office will host a press conference on Saturday morning (Oct. 11) where the Minister of Finance, Lan Fo'an, will discuss the intensification of counter-cyclical adjustments in fiscal policy to promote high-quality economic development.

During a press conference yesterday (Oct. 8), Zheng Shanjie, the Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), spoke about new policies responding to recent economic challenges. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central People's Government are implementing a comprehensive set of incremental policies which include enhancing macroeconomic policy coordination and integration across fiscal taxation, monetary finance, investment consumption, and income distribution. The policies ensure necessary fiscal expenditures and accelerate the pace of spending.
