Starting from Oct. 7, the Nobel Prize 2024 will be announced successively, with the winners of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine being announced first at 5:30 pm Hong Kong time today.
The Nobel Prize winners are usually announced in October each year, and the award ceremony will be held on December 10, the anniversary of Nobel's death. At that time, the winners will receive a medal, a certificate and a document confirming the amount of the prize.
This year, the Nobel Prize winners will be announced from October 7 to 14. The prizes are awarded for advancements in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, Peace, and Economics.
According to the official website of the Nobel Prize, the prize money for each Nobel Prize in 2024 is the same as in 2023, which is 11 million Swedish kronor (HK$8.2 million).
Announcement dates for each Nobel Prize 2024 (Hong Kong time):
Physiology or Medicine: no earlier than 5:30 pm on Oct. 7
Physics: no earlier than 5:45 pm on Oct. 8
Chemistry: no earlier than 5:45 pm on Oct. 9
Literature: no earlier than7:00 pm, Oct. 10
Peace: no earlier than 5:00 pm, Oct. 11
Economics: no earlier than 5:45 pm, Oct. 14
