The Hong Kong-produced film "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In" has grossed over HK$900 million globally and will represent Hong Kong in the competition for the Oscars for Best International Feature Film. Several scenes in the film which date back to the 1980s are recreated at a 1:1 scale in the Hong Kong International Airport.

In the arrival hall, a two-story old building approximately 6.5 meters tall has been set up, with a neon sign reading "Kowloon Walled City" on the roof.

The scene includes a "bing sutt" (a type of traditional cold drinking house) where the main characters gather, with props such as signature char siu rice (Cantonese-style barbecued pork served with rice) displayed. (RTHK)

The scene includes a "bing sutt" (a type of traditional cold drinking house) where the main characters gather, with props such as signature char siu rice (Cantonese-style barbecued pork served with rice) displayed, accompanied by bilingual signs introducing the Bing sutt as the predecessor of Hong Kong's cha chaan teng (tea restaurants).

Additionally, there are areas filled with wires representing the main fight scene in the film, the "back alley", the "hair salon" run by the protagonist cast by Louis Koo, and a "store" selling masks, sodas, and watermelon-shaped ball, as well as an "electrical repair shop".

The exhibition is co-organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Airport Authority, the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, and the film's production company.

It will be held in two phases at the airport and at a shopping mall in Kai Tak, Kowloon City District.

The section in the airport runs from today to Nov. 20, while the mall exhibition will take place in December.
