OpenAI has successfully raised US$6.6 billion in its latest funding round, boosting the company's valuation to US$157 billion, according to reports from international media sources.
The company attracted investments from tech giants Nvidia and Microsoft, along with venture capital investors such as Thrive Capital and Khosla Ventures. Other notable investors included Fidelity, SoftBank, and MGX, an investment firm backed by Abu Dhabi.
Apple, which had previously been in discussions with OpenAI regarding potential investment opportunities, did not participate in this round of funding.
